Dear Patients

Dr Victory has decided to retire from Bradgate Surgery. He has asked me to convey his thanks to all the patients he has had the pleasure of consulting with over the last 10 years. I am sure you will join with me in wishing Dr Victory and his family all good wishes for the future.

Dr Andy Masters has been employed as a salaried GP and will be replacing Dr Victory’s sessions. Dr Susanna Cary will become the medical research lead for the practice.

Summary Care Record - the practice will be uploading patient data to the NHS spine with effect from the 23rd October 2014.  Please see the summary care record section under further information.

Online Services have changed:  You can now book, view, amend, cancel and print appointments; order, view and print a list of your medication; view online or print information from your record relating to immunisations, medication allergies and adverse reactions.  If you are over 16 years of age and would like your username and password please contact reception.

Nurse Practitioner Gina Wills now has appointments up to 6.45pm on a Tuesday.

Dr Susanna Cary becomes a partner on the 21st October.  We are looking forward to working with Dr Cary in her new role.

Dr Laura Killingback has decided not to return following the birth of her third child.  We wish Dr Killingback well.

EBOLA - Patient Information

If you or a member of your family are feeling unwell and have visited an affected area in the past 21 days AND have a fever of >38°C or fever within the past 24 hours please DO NOT visit the practice or any other walk-in centre. Please phone the surgery on 0117 9591919 and we will arrange for you to receive telephone advice as to what action should be taken.

 FLU Clinic

Flu vaccine appointments for patients aged over 18 are now available to book.

If you fall within one of the following categories you may be eligible for the free vaccine:

  • Aged 65 years or over
  • All Pregnant women
  • Diagnosed with a serious medical condition: Chronic Heart Disease, Diabetes, Chronic Respiratory Disease such as severe Asthma, COPD or Bronchitis

If you are unsure if you are eligible please ask a member of staff

 UNDER 18 FLU Appointments

We now have the nasal flu vaccine in stock.

Clinics are now available for those patients aged under 18 either at risk or with a DOB between 02/09/2009 and 01/09/2012

 SHINGLES Vaccine

Shingles vaccine is now available to those patients who's date of birth falls within the following dates:

02/09/1943 - 01/09/1944
02/09/1935 - 01/09/1936
02/09/1934 - 01/09/1935

 At risk of Measles??

  If you have not received 2 measles vaccines in childhood (or had measles) you are at risk of catching measles.
