Dear Patients

Dr Victory has decided to retire from Bradgate Surgery. He has asked me to convey his thanks to all the patients he has had the pleasure of consulting with over the last 10 years. I am sure you will join with me in wishing Dr Victory and his family all good wishes for the future.

Dr Andy Masters has been employed as a salaried GP and will be replacing Dr Victory’s sessions. Dr Susanna Cary will become the medical research lead for the practice.

Sharron Norman, Business Partner

To book an appointment please ring or visit the surgery between our normal working hours of 08:00 and 18:30 Monday to Friday. It is also possible to book and appointment 24 hours a day via our online booking service. Please register for this at reception.

We offer a mixture of appointments available on the day and appointments that can be booked in advance.  Every day we run a sit and wait surgery for problems which cannot wait for the next available routine GP appointment.  You will be seen by any available GP.

At Bradgate Surgery we do not run personalised lists and you are able to request a routine appointment with any GP.  However for continuity of care please book review appointments and follow up telephone consultations with the same doctor.

We do offer our patients the opportunity to pre book an appointment as early as 07:30 on Tuesday and Thursday, and as late as 18:50 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and between the hours of 08:00 and 09:30 on a Saturday morning.

We would respectfully ask patients that can attend the surgery during the day for routine treatment to do so. By doing this you will help those patients who need to see a GP for routine care but have difficulty coming to the surgery during our normal working hours.

Before 08:00 and after 18:30 Monday to Friday and on a Saturday morning we will not be able to see you for any problem that requires urgent attention. You will need to ring the out of hours service. The easiest way to access the out of hours service is to ring the surgery and your call will be diverted.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

We are currently unable to provide nurse appointments on line due to the huge range of nursing services available and the different time allocations for each procedure. If you could continue to phone in or come to reception, we will be pleased to assist you with a nurse booking.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to a doctor please telephone the practice on 0117 9591919. The receptionist will ask you for a short message and your telephone number. A doctor or nurse will call you back.

What to do if you no longer require your appointment

Please help us to help you and cancel your appointment as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to other patients.  Please telephone reception on  0117 9591919 to cancel an appointment.  If you have registered for our on line appointment service then you can cancel doctor appointments via this method.
